The Steps to Success team provide Employment and Training support to Six Town Housing Tenants. The Employment support trainee will provide assistance to our Steps to Success Team.

The trainee will be based part at home and part at the our head office in Bury (Knowsley Place, BL9 0EL)

The trainee will:

• Communicate with tenants who require support with looking for Employment or training opportunities.
• Source local Employment and training opportunities and upload to our Steps to Success website.
• Write social media posts for Facebook and Twitter.
• Take minutes to meetings either remote or in the community.
• Recruit and book tenants on our internal training courses.
• Update and maintain our internal records.
• Make contact with tenants over the phone or in writing.
• Accompany staff and attend careers events or community events.
• Accompany staff and attend community courses provided by tenants.
• Support tenants who require information, advice or guidance.
• Liaise with external agencies in referring tenants to courses, training, volunteering opportunities.
• Work to achieve positive outcomes for tenants.

To be eligible for this role, you must be:

• Aged 18-24
• In receipt of Universal Credit.
• A Six Town Housing Tenant or resident of Bury.
