The course combines training, coaching, self-reflection, personal stories, role-play, video, and trainer presentations. A serious subject with an emphasis on fun to make the training enjoyable. Delegates are empowered to join in and share their own experience which adds another layer of learning to the day. The most unique feature about this training is that there is no PowerPoint. The learning points are embedded using a variety of articles, props, and exhibits from inside and outside policing, supported by real life examples to make the training interesting, credible and bring the learning to life.

The course is delivered by former Police Inspector Russ Magnall. Russ is an experienced Police Commander and founder member of the Greater Manchester Police Wellbeing Strategic Board. An experienced wellbeing champion and qualified executive and organisational development coach. Russ has significant experience delivering resilience training and was awarded for designing and delivering the Bee Well programme to support Greater Manchester Police officers and staff following the terrorist attack at the Manchester Arena in 2017.
